El neerlandés Max Verstappen (Red Bull) logró hoy el primer puesto clasificatoria para largar mañana el Gran Premio de Bélgica de Fórmula 1, tras una sesión condicionada por la lluvia en el circuito de Spa-Francorchamps, donde sorprendió el británico George Russell (Williams) con el segundo puesto.

El tercer tiempo del día se lo quedó el británico Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), líder del Mundial de Pilotos, que este domingo buscará su victoria número 100 en la categoría.
El australiano Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren) completó la segunda fila con el cuarto puesto, por delante del alemán Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin) y el francés Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri).
Producto del agua sobre la pista, el británico Lando Norris (McLaren) perdió el control de su coche en una curva y chocó contra los muros de contención sin consecuencias físicas.
Después de una interrupción de 40 minutos, tiempo que llevó retirar las partes del auto siniestrado, Russell volvió a girar con excelente nivel y se aseguró el segundo puesto, lo que implica su mejor registro clasificatorio con Williams en la F1.
El británico fue segundo el año pasado Sakhir pero con Mercedes -escudería a la que puede arribar la temporada próxima- en reemplazo de Hamilton, que había sido baja por Ccovid-19.
El Gran Premio de Bélgica, duodécima fecha del año, se correrá mañana desde las 10 de la Argentina con transmisión de ESPN.
