Combaten el fuego más de 100 bomberos, con la ayuda de un helicóptero.
Los bomberos griegos trabajan este martes por segundo día consecutivo contra un incendio en la isla de Kos, mientras cientos de turistas y lugareños que habían tenido que ser evacuados durante la noche regresaban a sus hoteles y hogares.
Christos Efstratiou, vicegobernador de las islas del Dodecaneso, informó a la agencia de noticias Reuters que el incendio había alcanzado la localidad costera de Kardamaina y que la gente se había refugiado en un centro deportivo y otros lugares.
El incendio había remitido este martes por la mañana, lo que permitió a la gente regresar, y no se produjeron daños en los edificios, reveló Efstratiou.
Más de 100 bomberos, con la ayuda de un helicóptero, seguían luchando contra el fuego para evitar que rebrotara, según los bomberos. (NA)
