La bahiense de 18 años se quedó con el título de manera contundente en el Campeonato Mundial Kite Juvenil en Gizzería, Italia, en la previa de su debut en los Juegos Olímpicos París 2024.
«Esto es increíble, estoy muy, muy feliz. Entrené un montón para esto, agradezco a todos lo que me apoyan. Me sentí bastante sólida esta semana, estaba muy concentrada, estoy súper feliz de ganar, ahora vamos por los Juegos Olímpicos», expresó Turienzo luego de quedarse con el título.
La argentina se impuso de principio a fin en el torneo sin darle posibilidades a sus principales perseguidores en las Opening Series, logrando 12 victorias en 16 regatas. En las Medal Series, una victoria ya le permitió la bahiense quedarse con la medalla dorada, la francesa Lisa Cabal que fue subcampeona y la turca Derin Atakan que ocupó el tercer lugar.
