El australiano Jack Miller continuó con su racha victoriosa en el Campeonato Mundial de MotoGP, al quedarse con el Gran Premio de Francia, que estuvo repleto de emociones, principalmente por la cantidad de lluvia que dominó la carrera.
El piloto del Ducati Lenovo Team, a bordo de una unidad de esa marca, venía ganar en el Gran Premio de España, a pesar de eso, no era uno de los favoritos en subirse al podio.
Fabio Quartararo, quien logró la pole, no pudo mantener el puesto con su Yamaha, y Miller, se adjudicó la victoria en Le Mans.
Por su parte, el frances Johan Zarco, con otra Ducati pero del Pramac Racing, quedó en segundo lugar. Quartararo ocupó el tercer escalón del podio, que le sirvió para recuperar la cima del campeonato, con 80 puntos, uno más que el italiano Francesco Bagnaia, quien culminó cuarto en Francia.
El calendario del Mundial de MotoGP continuará con el Gran Premio de Italia, que se llevará a cabo el 30 de este mes en el autódromo internacional de Mugello.
